Hey — it's Rames

What a delight it is to have returned to Spain and its beautiful landscapes. The view around our home is gorgeous — not only when you look at the sea (Tarifa’s beach), but even better when you look at the mountains, the other way around.

Every time we come back home, we drive super slowly among the cows, horses, pigs, donkeys, goats, and sheep, and a smile comes to our faces when we realize how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful and friendly place.

And before we begin... This week's sponsor...

3 Tips

1/ Colored Notion Buttons

There are two types of Notion users. The first is the minimalist, an all black & grey type of person. They're super organized and notice when a pixel is out of place.

The second is the creative user. They like Notion because it's a possibility tool, allowing them to create anything they have in mind (like magazines).

This update is more for the extravagant user, but also for the minimalist — you can now color your Notion buttons. Simply access the block’s settings and use the color option as you would on any other block 🎨

2/ Switch Tabs on Notion App

This is a feature that the Notion team should have introduced years ago. If you're a Notion App user (not on a browser), you've likely been frustrated by the inability to switch tabs. They've now resolved this issue, much to my delight.

2 Resources

1/ Skillshare Notion Course

If you want to learn Notion, Skillshare offers a great selection of wide-ranging, high-quality courses. In their learning path, you have the option to choose one or multiple courses, from:

  • Notion for Beginners: Build a Life Dashboard for Personal Productivity

  • Client HQ: Streamline Client Project Management with Notion

  • UX Design Portfolios with Notion (including Template)

  • Notion Masterclass: Maximise Your Productivity & Organisation

  • Notion for YouTube Creators: Easily Manage Your Creative Projects

If you feel you could use help to improve your Notion skills, or if you're interested in a specific topic, you can create a Skillshare account using the link below.

2/ Lou’s Boost Course (French)

For my fellow Frenchies reading this newsletter — Lou Attal, a well-known French Notion creator and certified consultant, just launched a course for Notion beginners.

It's called Boost, and given the quality of her YouTube videos, I trust her implicitly to deliver on what she promises. Before purchasing, you can access the first three modules for free, to get an avant-goût of the full course.
