3 Tips

1/ Convert Handwriting to Notion

Remember a few weeks ago when I mentioned we could now use Notion AI to analyze PDFs? Well, I hadn't thought of it at the time, but we can apply the same principle to analyze handwriting and import it into Notion.

  1. Take a picture of your handwritten note

  2. Open Notion AI

  3. Click "Attach file" and select your picture

  4. Ask Notion AI to "Create a new Notion page based on the data in this picture"

  5. Click "Save" and choose the desired location

To be honest, I thought the results wouldn't be great. So I tried it with my own handwriting—which is very bad, doctor-level unreadable.

And it works amazingly well! It's not perfect, but remember, my handwriting is atrocious. It even recognized that I had a to-do list and added the corresponding checkboxes, correctly marking items as checked or unchecked.

Super impressive 🤯

2/ Notion Calendar ‘Share Availability’ update

3/ See all logged devices

Not a product update, but still valuable information.

To see a list of all your logged devices, navigate to SettingsMy accountDevices.

If you spot any unrecognized or unused devices, you can log them out individually. Alternatively, if you've been phished or changed your password, you have the option to log out of all devices at once.

2 Resources

1/ Storage, Page History, & Trash

Want to revert to a previous version of a database? Accidentally deleted a page? Unsure about your storage limits?

I've got you. These are quite common questions, and mastering these topics is crucial for recovering important information from your Notion workspace.

So I wrote a blog post that covers everything you need to know about:

  • Storage limits

  • How to export an entire Notion workspace

  • Page History

  • Retrieving deleted pages from the trash

2/ Notes to Notion

In the beginnning of this newsletter, we mentioned using Notion AI for converting handwritten notes to Notion. If you’re really interested by the subject and want to go further, consider following Thomas Frank’s work.

He’s been working on a Pipedream / Google Drive / Gemini 1.5 Flash automation to convert any handwritten document to markdown text.

It seems to work quite well, and could be integrated into a dedicated workflow — like automatically converting all pictures from a specific Drive folder — what’s currently not possible to do with Notion AI 😉
